說是另類，是因為它不是一個真正的音樂劇，more like一個音樂表演吧！
發源自英國Brighton，這個反傳統的舞蹈團利用身體（！！）和一些平常不過的物件好像是火柴，水管，垃圾箱等等奇怪的東東來發出聲音，成為一個音樂表演。
聽說這個表演在美國白宮和英國的Royal Variety show上演過呢！而且有在世界各地的表演過，印象中好像有來過香港呢，不知道台灣有沒有呢？
第一次接觸Stomp是在high school的Summer Concert，有好幾個同學跟老師組成了一個Stomp Group，看完感覺是很有趣的表演，不過不太明白想要表達甚麼。。。
